Recently, according to foreign media reports, FedEx announced that it achieved strong double-digit growth in India last year and expects this growth to continue exceeding market expectations in the coming years. As a result, FedEx plans to open a cargo station in India to enhance its ability to serve the domestic market and support international trade.

The establishment of this new cargo station will not only allow FedEx to meet the growing demands of the Indian domestic market more effectively but also strengthen connections between Southeast Asia, Asia, the Middle East, and other regions. The company aims to simplify the import process and increase operational efficiency within both India and its international logistics network through this facility.

In addition, FedEx plans to develop a cargo hub in India to better serve the domestic market and connect Southeast Asia and Asia to the Middle East and beyond. FedEx is working closely with the Indian government and airport operators to advance the implementation of this plan, with announcements and investment updates expected soon.

FedEx’s growth momentum is largely driven by the global demand for India’s manufacturing and export businesses, along with the rising needs of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in India's booming e-commerce sector. To better handle the increasing trade volume, FedEx has also increased its infrastructure investments in major cities such as Delhi and Bangalore. Additionally, the company has launched an advanced logistics hub at Dubai World Central (DWC) Airport, further solidifying its role as a crucial link for India’s export and import activities.
