Recently, according to reports from foreign media, eBay announced fee adjustments for individual sellers in the UK, reducing the number of free monthly listings and removing the option for cash payments for local pickups.

Currently, individual sellers on eBay UK can list up to 1,000 items per month for free. Starting from October 1st, eBay will reduce this free listing threshold to 300 items per month. After exceeding the 300 free listings, a fee of 35 pence will be charged per item.

Additionally, eBay has eliminated the option for cash payments on local item pickups. From October 1st onwards, buyers will no longer be able to pay in cash for items picked up locally. All local item payments must be made through the eBay platform to ensure that sellers receive their payments securely and promptly.

eBay also announced that if a seller’s registered address is in the UK, a 3% international fee will be applied to items shipped outside of the UK. Previously, this fee varied by region, but starting October 1st, a uniform rate of 3% will be charged for all international deliveries. This fee will be calculated based on the total sales amount, including the item price, handling charges, shipping fees, and any applicable taxes.
