Release time:2024-12-18 16:01
On December 16th, Amazon Europe issued an announcement regarding a series of adjustments and optimizations to referral feess and Amazon FBA fees for 2025.
According to the announcement, FBA shipping fees and tier changes will take effect starting February 1, 2025:
- The average Amazon FBA shipping fees for packages and oversized items will be reduced for the UK, Germany, France, Italy, and Spain sites.
- The size tiers for large items will be reduced from 28 to 17, with the introduction of fixed rates calculated by kilogram increments, optimizing the fee structure.
- Adjustments will be made to the Amazon FBA shipping fees for envelopes and low-priced items in the UK, Germany, France, Italy, and Spain, as well as all FBA shipping fees in the Netherlands, Sweden, and Belgium, to align fees with Amazon's costs.
- New small envelope size tiers will be introduced based on weight to reduce fee variability and improve the accuracy of sellers' fee predictions.
Other fee changes will take effect starting February 1, 2025:
- The minimum sales fee for special oversized items sold through FBA will be reduced from £25/€25 to £20/€20.
- Updates will be made to monthly storage fees, storage utilization surcharges, low inventory fees, Pan-European FBA oversized item surcharges, pre-processing service fees, and processing fees for returns, disposal, and liquidation orders across all Amazon Europe sites to better align with operational costs.
- The scope of the aged inventory surcharge will be expanded to include inventory stored for 241 to 270 days.
- The implementation of the returns processing fee for high return rate items will be delayed until February 1, 2025.
In addition to Amazon FBA fees, referral fees will also see updates for certain product categories, including significant changes to the Amazon seller referral fee. The updated referral fees will be aligned with operational costs across European markets. Sellers are encouraged to review the new fee structure on the Amazon Seller Central page to ensure they are prepared for the changes, which will affect both established and new sellers in the region.
Additionally, starting January 15, 2025, Amazon will introduce new incentives for new products and new sellers:
Amazon will enhance its new seller incentive program and FBA New Product program by offering additional fee discounts to further support the growth of new products in targeted market segments. These limited-time discounts will be available to eligible sellers and products starting January 15, 2025, on the Seller Benefits page. Amazon will regularly update these discounts, which will include everyday essentials, high-demand products with limited Amazon store selection, and popular brands that customers want more choices from globally.
