As of June 12, media reports confirm that Temu maintained its strong momentum in Poland's e-commerce sector throughout May. With its expanding user base, Temu has firmly positioned itself ahead of local giant Allegro, solidifying its role as a rising market leader.

According to the latest figures released by Polish internet research agency Mediapanel, Temu reached 19.7 million active users across all platforms in May—up from 18.86 million in April. In contrast, Allegro recorded 18.02 million active users, a modest increase from 17.84 million in the previous month.

In the subcategory of "online shopping," Temu also led in user reach with 66.27%, a notable rise from April's 63.5%. Allegro followed with a reach of 60.63%, only slightly above its April figure of 60.1%.

While Temu is leading in user volume, Allegro still holds an edge in user engagement. Data from May 2025 shows that the average user spent 1 hour, 48 minutes, and 55 seconds on Allegro—an increase from April's 1 hour, 45 minutes, and 38 seconds. This suggests that despite fierce competition from China-based platforms, Allegro continues to maintain user loyalty and a high stickiness rate, reflecting its resilience and stable performance.

Notably, two other Chinese platforms made it into Poland's top ten most visited e-commerce sites. AliExpress ranked third with 9.72 million monthly active users and a 32.7% user reach. Fast-fashion platform Shein also made an impressive showing, attracting 7.52 million users and a reach rate of 25.3%.

The growing dominance of Chinese e-commerce players in Poland is emblematic of their aggressive expansion across Europe. Platforms like Temu, AliExpress, and Shein are capturing consumer interest by offering low prices, diverse product selections, and massive marketing campaigns.

Among them, Temu's rise in Poland has been particularly striking. As a relatively new entrant, Temu has quickly amassed a vast user base through its “low-cost, all-category” strategy. Its ability to overtake Allegro in such a short time underscores both its strategic precision and operational efficiency.

The shifting dynamics in Poland's e-commerce market illustrate a broader trend of Chinese platforms gaining ground across Europe. As sellers and logistics providers adapt to this fast-changing environment, efficient shipping solutions become more critical than ever.
