Amazon Introduces Annual Grocery Subscription for Prime Members
Release time:2024-08-23 15:06
On August 21, according to foreign media reports, Amazon announced the launch of a $99.99 annual grocery subscription plan.

Following the successful launch of its monthly grocery subscription service in April, Amazon has introduced a new annual plan. Prime members can now enjoy unlimited free deliveries on orders over $35 placed through Amazon Fresh, Whole Foods Market, and various local retailers on Amazon.com.
The subscription service is available to Prime members in over 3,500 towns across the U.S. Benefits include one-hour delivery windows at no extra cost, unlimited 30-minute pickups (regardless of order size), and priority access to schedule weekly grocery deliveries in advance through the "Subscribe & Schedule" feature.
Additionally, members who sign up for the new annual plan will receive two months of free service. Amazon also offers a discounted subscription for Prime Access members, who receive government assistance, at $4.99 per month, saving them $60 annually compared to the monthly Prime membership.
The market is becoming increasingly competitive as Walmart and Target have launched similar fast delivery services. Target’s Circle 360 membership costs $99 annually, with Target Circle cardholders paying just $49. Walmart’s Walmart+ membership costs $98 annually, and in March, the company introduced a morning on-demand delivery service, charging members a $10 express fee.
